ISO Pressure Testing Triggers Cloudy Water In Parts Of Robertson County

ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – According to the West Robertson Water Authority, some customers are experiencing discolored water today. A local fire department was performing ISO-related hydrant pressure testing and flushing yesterday which is likely the cause.

This kind of testing pushes water through the lines rapidly and will break loose calcium and magnesium and other sediments.  These sediments will mix with water creating a brown discoloration. There is no health hazard associated with the discolored water. We are currently flushing our lines now to clear out the discoloration. To help clear out your line, you may need to let your water run.

Director Chance Holmes with the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency indicates that his team is aware and continues to monitor the situation.
