WHITE HOUSE, TENNESSEE (Smokey Barn News) – A White House home sustained heavy damage after a Jeep crashed into the residence on the 3000 block of Indian Ridge Boulevard on Saturday evening, the first call coming into 911 at 6:04 p.m. MAP

Officials tell Smokey Barn News that the Jeep, despite sustaining heavy front-end damage, fled the scene in the direction of Calista Road. As of the latest reports, both the vehicle and the driver remain at large. If you spot a Jeep with significant front-end damage, report it to authorities.

Assistant Chief Cary Petitt of the White House City Fire Department told Smokey Barn News that the crash damaged the garage and weakened load-bearing structures.  The homeowner was advised not to use the bonus room until repairs are made. Fortunately, no one inside the home was injured.

UPDATE SUSPECT IDENTIFIED January 5th, 2026.

White House Police have identified and charged a suspect in connection with the vehicle that struck a home. Police say Kevin Nash Jr., 35, of Springfield, was visiting friends in the area of Callista Road at the time of the crash. Nash is charged with reckless driving, leaving the scene of a property-damage accident, driving on a revoked license, failure to show financial responsibility (no insurance), and expired registration. Police confirmed Nash admitted he was driving the vehicle at the time of the crash. The investigation remains ongoing, and the White House Police Department will consult with the District Attorney’s Office to determine whether additional charges are warranted. Police also thanked the public for their assistance, calling the case; –An example of the community working hand in hand with law enforcement to help bring closure to a serious incident.

Update: According to White House Police Chief Pat Brady, the suspect, Kevin Nash Jr., 35, of Springfield, who was initially cited for reckless driving, leaving the scene of a property-damage accident, driving on a revoked license, failure to show financial responsibility (no insurance), and expired registration, is now facing additional charges. After a careful forensic investigation into the crash, which involved a Jeep plowing into a home, officers determined that further charges were warranted.

Nash was taken into custody on Wednesday evening and was processed at the Robertson County Detention Facility in Springfield. He is now charged with three counts of felony reckless endangerment. Nash was held and released three hours later under a $30,000 bond, $10,000 for each count. Chief Brady praised the officers for their excellent investigative work.
