Live The “Green” Way 5K LIQUID COLOR Is Back – May 28, 2022

ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) –The annual Live The “Green” Way LIQUID COLOR 5K  has been on hold since 2019 due to Covid but is back this year in full color for its 11th annual event. Make plans to register or sponsor and join in the community fun.

The Jennifer Green Foundation was formed in 2012 after the sudden passing of Jennifer Green. Jennifer was a mother of four with the oldest having down syndrome. We took one of Jennifer’s biggest passions and turned it into a 501(c)3 non-profit to benefit special needs children in Robertson County.

Since 2012, we have donated over $45,000 to Robertson County Schools Special education programs. We have donated to every public elementary, middle, and high school CDC/special education classroom in Robertson County. We often supply food, decoration, and entertainment for various county-wide special education events. We have also donated shirts to East Robertson for their Special Olympics team.

Our largest fundraiser of the year is our annual Live The “Green” Way LIQUID COLOR 5K that is in May every year; however, due to Covid we have not been able to have our 5K since 2019. We are very excited to bring back our 5K this year.

The 11th Annual Live the “Green” Way LIQUID COLOR 5K takes place at the Robertson County Fairgrounds making use of the scenic Springfield primarily flat course with a slight incline to Greenway as a “down and back” course following along the beautiful Sulphur Fork Creek. It is a fast course, so you can work on your personal record. The course will be starting from the Robertson County Fairgrounds going to Travis Price park. The 5K will start at 8AM May 28, 2022. Also, near the finish line are the COLOR LANES, but don’t worry, if you don’t want to be sprayed we have a SPLASH FREE AREA. The event will be professionally timed at both the start and finish.
