Local GOP Hosts Reagan Day Dinner and Reminder to Vote Republican Next Week

An amazing meal will be catered by North Nash Catering (from the kitchen of Public House & Molipazzo’s) and will include saloon chicken, garlic green beans, and street corn.
A straw poll will be conducted so that you may speak up on who you are supporting for the Governor’s office. A representative from each candidate will be on hand to give remarks.

Matt Van Epps represents Robertson County and the 7th Congressional District in the US House of Representatives since 2025. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Congressman Van Epps served ten years on active duty as an Army aviator, deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan. He flew and commanded missions in both the AH-64D Apache and the MH-47G Chinook, serving with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) as a pilot-in-command and air mission commander. Following active duty, he continued his service in the Tennessee Army National Guard, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. His military experience shaped a leadership style grounded in accountability, teamwork, and mission focus—principles he has carried into every role since.
The Robertson County Republican Party would also like to remind voters to get out and vote Republican in the County General Election and State and Federal Primary Election being held on Thursday, August 6. All precincts will be open from 7 am to 7 pm on Election Day. While many of the local races were decided in the May Primary election, there are four contested county commission districts and the opportunity to weigh in on our next Governor.

Individuals interested in running for local city elections this November are reminded the deadline to file a petition with the Election Commission to become a candidate is August 20 at noon. All cities (except Greenbrier) in Robertson County have municipals races on the ballot this November and conservative candidates willing to serve their community are needed.
