“This is one of the biggest days of the year to show support for local quilt shops,”says Donna Sandidge, owner of The Fabric Shop. “It’s a day to celebrate shops like mine, which creates local jobs and helps make this community unique. My shop is much more than a retail venue—it’s a place where sewists and quilters meet and make friends, trade stories about their latest projects, find inspiration, and get advice and assistance when they need it the most.”
The Fabric Shop will be encouraging customers to enter the “I Love My Local Quilt Shop” fan photocontest with the Grand Prize of a $500 Shopping Spree to spend at the shop plus a PC4200PRW Project RunwayTM Limited Edition Computerized Sewing Machine from Brother International Corporation (MSRP $649).
