ROBERTSON COUNTY: (Smokey Barn News) –  A murder investigation is underway following the discovery of a deceased male who officials say was shot to death and dumped in Robertson County by the Tennessee-Kentucky border. The body was discovered Tuesday morning, and there’s no word on how long the body had been there.

The man, who appears to be Hispanic, was discovered by the train tracks in the vicinity of North Qualls Road and Pineywoods Road up near the Tennessee-Kentucky-Montgomery County borders.   A preliminary investigation indicates the individual was shot and then transported to this location, officials said. The first call came into  911 at 5:39 AM.  LOCATION OF BODY

The Adams Fire Department, Robertson County Emergency Medical Services (EMS), the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, and the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) all responded to the scene.

Sheriff’s statement: “The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deceased male who appears to be Hispanic, that has been discovered near the train tracks near North Qualls Rd next to the Robertson County/Montgomery County line. Preliminary investigation indicates the subject was shot, and then brought and left at this location. This is an active and ongoing investigation.”

Additionally, sources suggest that the victim may have been shot multiple times, though this detail has not been officially confirmed by authorities.

The scene has been secured as investigators work to gather evidence and determine the circumstances surrounding the man’s death. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
