Position: Medical Assistant – Surgery Coordinator
Springfield, TN
This is a FT position.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development and the care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
Responsible for coordinating surgical scheduling with patients and surgical staff in the hospital.

Performs routine duties associated pre authorizing surgeries with insurance companies, educating patients on things to know pre and post operatively.

Maintains up to date knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS codes.
All other duties as assigned

MA duties:
Provides direct nursing care to patients under the direction of the Physician and/or Nurse.
Administer injections per provider directive
Calls in prescriptions refills per Provider directive
Provides timely communication & follow up on all clinical calls & questions as instructed by Provider
Provides prompt communication to Provider regarding labs, diagnostic testing results and documents.
Acts as a liaison between the front desk, patient and physician

QUALIFICATIONS:
MA certification required; RMA preferred
2 years of prior MA experience preferred
Current BLS (or obtain prior to the completion of orientation)
Excellent communication & organizational skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
Positive demeanor & personality

Position: Medical Assistant – PHYSICIAN SERVICES
Springfield, TN
Medical Assistant – PHYSICIAN SERVICES

THIS POSITION IS DAYS, EVENINGS; AND WEEKENDS ON A ROTATING SHIFT.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Provides direct nursing care to patients under the direction of the Provider
 Calls in prescriptions refills per Provider directive
 Provides timely communication & follow up on all clinical calls & questions as instructed by Provider
 Provides prompt communication to Provider regarding labs, diagnostic testing results and documents.
 Acts as a liaison between the front desk, patient and physician
 Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development and the care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
 All other duties as assigned

REGISTRAR DUTIES:
 Responsible for timely and accurate registering of patients.
 Interviews patient for all pertinent account information.
 Verifies insurance coverage

QUALIFICATIONS:
 MA certification required; RMA preferred
 2 years of prior MA experience preferred
 Current BLS (or obtain prior to the completion of orientation)
 Excellent communication skills
 Positive demeanor & personality

Position: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

This is a PRN position
One year or more of Orthopedic Experience Preferred

Nurse Practitioner
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
Functions in an expanded nursing role in collaboration with qualified physicians within the framework of jointly approved protocols for family medicine.
Provides primary care to patients under the medical supervision of the supervising physician using clinical protocols as general guidelines. The supervising physician is always available for consultation and collaboration with the Family Nurse Practitioner.
Provides support for nursing care through advanced practice, education, research, consultation and administration.
Promotes a healthy and harmonious environment with supervising physician, practice manager, staff and patient/visitors.
All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
Current RN & NP licensure
Nurse Practitioner – Certification (or eligibility to sit for certification exam). Certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
A minimum of one year related clinical experience
Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice..Extensive knowledge of physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, pharmacology and management of acute and chronic patient/family problems.
Substantial interpersonal skills necessary to instruct patients and their families and to collaborate with health team members.
Strong customer relations skills required.
Physician Assistant

Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
