Millersville Appoints New Fire Chief “We’re Hiring!”
MILLERSVILLE, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The City of Millersville has announced the appointment of a new Fire Chief, a local resident with deep roots in the community and extensive experience in firefighting and emergency services. Below is a statement from the new chief, outlining his background, passion for service, and plans for the department moving forward.
“I have accepted the position of Fire Chief of Millersville,” said Brad Williams Wednesday afternoon. “I was raised in Millersville until I was married. My family has a farm in the city that I spend a lot of time at. So I’m excited to serve the citizens that consist of my friends and neighbors.
“For the people who don’t know me yet, I started in the fire service officially in 1999 as a junior firefighter with the White House Community VFD, where I remain to this day and have served in multiple officer positions. I have worked as an EMT for Robertson County EMS. Many will remember my time working at the City of White House Fire Dept; I loved my 18 years of employment. My family and I also owned White House Small Engine until 2022. I have been fortunate to receive some of the best training available from some of the smartest people I know. My certification list is long, but I have a passion for teaching and hold my TN Fire Instructor 2, Officer 1, certifications as a certified Aerial and Engine Operator, along with many water supply certifications.
“The Millersville Fire Dept has had a lot of changes this year. I can only hope to bring it back to the great standard that the citizens expect and deserve. We are accepting all applications for full-time, part-time, and paid-per-call members to restaff the fire department as soon as possible.”
Williams’ appointment follows the departure of Matt Stewart back in early November after about a year in the position. MORE.
