Millersville Bank Robber Captured
MILLERSVILLE TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) –Today, June 19, 2020, at 1:30pm, a white male wearing a mask, blue jeans, camouflage shirt and camouflage hat, entered the Farmers Bank in Millersville TN, and handed the teller a note stating “Put the money in the bag now”; and placed a white garbage bag on the counter.
The teller complied and the suspect fled the bank on foot with $18,911.00.
The suspect was allegedly seen running across Louisville Hwy and entering the woods on C Smith Street.
During the police investigation, detectives developed a suspect, 38-year-old Caleb Morphis.
Around 7:00pm, a search warrant was obtained and executed at the suspect’s address on Pole Hill Rd. in Millersville where evidence linking him to the crime was found according to Millersville Police.
Caleb Morphis is currently in custody and will be booked into the Sumner Co. Jail.
The Sumner Co. Sheriff’s Office, Tennessee Highway Patrol, and the FBI assisted in the investigation.
