Millersville Police Chief Retires Post, Joining Private Sector

MILLERSVILLE TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – According to officials in Millersville, Dustin Carr, the city’s Police Chief, has decided to leave his post as Chief and join the private sector.

“Chief Carr felt it was a good time to seek an opportunity that will allow him to spend more time with his family, especially his children. We wish Chief Carr all of the best in his new endeavor.”  Scott Avery City Manager City of Millersville

Avery told Smokey Barn News that an official search for Carr’s replacement will begin Tuesday and all candidates, both internal and external, will be considered.

Carr joined the Millersville Police Department in 2011 and moved up through the ranks until his promotion to Chief earlier this year.

“I would like to thank the Millersville community for allowing me to serve them over the last decade. As the city moves forward I’m always available to assist in any way I can.” Dustin Carr
