Mom Who Died In Fatal Springfield Crash Celebrated With Parade

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A Pleasant View woman who died tragically in a fatal head-on crash on April 15th in Springfield was celebrated Saturday afternoon.

Linda Dyer, 43 of Pleasant View was killed in the crash. FULL STORY Her friends say she loved parades, so they had one just for her. As the time for the parade approached it began to rain. It rained harder and harder even as the parade began. It seemed that the sky itself was mourning Dyer’s loss, then, just as the parade ended, the rain began to subside.

COVID-19 social distancing adds a new dimension to mourning the loss of a loved one. In some ways, it seems more personal and in other ways, mourners are left aching for a hug. Linda Dyer was a wife and a mother and her loss was completely unexpected. Her husband of 23 years smiled, waved, and even laughed as the cars passed, and when the parade was over, he wept.

Smokey Barn News was allowed to attend the parade so we are bringing it to you. To the family and friends of Linda, our thoughts and prayers will be with you as you face the days ahead.
