Motorcyclist Flees From Police Still At Large

COOPERTOWN TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Authorities in Coopertown are trying to understand what made a motorcyclist flee during a routine traffic stop for a minor traffic violation.

Coopertown Police are attempting to identify the person pictured on the motorcycle.

The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon around 1:30 pm.

Officers discontinued an attempt to stop the cyclist when the motorcyclist endangered the lives of other motorists.

CHARGES: According to Coopertown Police, the rider was going to be stopped for passing several vehicles on a double yellow line. That would have been a misdemeanor citation or possibly even a warning. By intentionally fleeing law enforcement, the rider now faces felony evading charges in addition to reckless endangerment for putting innocent bystanders at risk of injury or death due to their reckless driving.

“We urge the rider to come forward and take responsibility for their actions.” Coopertown Police
