Motorcyclist Injured In Head-On Crash In Springfield
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A motorcyclist was injured in a head-on crash with a large van Sunday afternoon.
The accident occurred just before 2:30 pm at the intersection of 7th Ave West and 5th Ave.
The motorcycle ended up under the van, the rider was thrown and somehow escaped life threatening injuries. A witness told Springfield Police that the rider was wearing a helmet.
The rider, clearly injured, was able to make it to his feet and into the ambulance with some assistance but appeared to be in a lot of pain. He was transported to NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield with non-critical injuries, according to Robertson County EMS.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the Springfield Police Department.
