Motorcyclist Injured In Hwy 76 Crash Saturday
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A motorcyclist has been hospitalized following a collision with a passenger car near White House.
The call came into 911 at 11:19am Saturday morning indicating that a motorcycle and a passenger car had collided on Hwy 76 at Maxie Jones Rd. MAP
The motorcyclist, now identified as Christopher Mowell, 24, of White House, TN on a 1997 Honda MC, was transported via ground to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to officials. The occupants of the passenger-car received only minor injuries, officials said.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
Hwy 76 was closed for about an hour while the T.H.P investigated the crash. Hwy 76 is now open.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol has now released a preliminary description of the crash: Mowell, riding the Motorcycle, was traveling west on Highway 76. Jerri Findley, 23, of White House, TN driving a 2011 Mazda 2, was turning left from Highway 76, onto Maxie Jones Road. Mowell, on the Motorcycle, struck the Mazda’s right side in the west bound lane of travel of Highway 76.
According to the T.H.P., charges for Findley are Pending.
The T.H.P., the White House Community Volunteer Fire Department, Robertson County EMS, and the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the call.
