Mustang Crashes Into Springfield Building
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A 2011 Mustang, traveling on Memorial Blvd in Springfield, left the roadway and crashed into a building Saturday morning.
The crash occurred around 9:30 Saturday morning. The driver was not injured, however, the vehicle and the building sustained heavy damage.
Contractors working inside the building had just stepped away when the crash occurred.
The building, owned by G.S. Moore & Son Real Estate, was the original site of Torino’s Restaurant and carries special memories for long time residents. (Location of building)
According to Jim Moore of G.S. Moore & Son, the accident has his firm rethinking the direction they want to take with the building but for the moment it will be boarded up.
As far as a cause of the crash, Springfield police are in charge of the investigation and they have not yet released their findings.
The Springfield Fire Department, Robertson County EMS and the Springfield Police Department all responded to the scene.
