Eric Douglas

Harold Eric Douglas, known to all as Eric, age 66, of Springfield, Tennessee, passed away on September 23, 2026. Eric was born on January 25, 1960, and was a lifelong Springfield resident. His name became synonymous with a legacy in Robertson County, Tennessee, rooted in southern hospitality and community. Eric is survived by his loving wife, Betty Lou Douglas; his devoted mother, Faye Douglas; his son, Todd (Myra) Helmintoller; his granddaughters, Sloane and Hope Helmintoller; a special niece, Cristy Christie; his godson, Gabriel Eric Christie; and innumerable friends, coworkers, and customers who felt more like family. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Douglas, co-founder of Douglas and Company.
A 1978 graduate of Springfield High School, Eric’s roots ran deep through his hometown. After working in the construction industry alongside his parents, Eric’s first business venture began in Springfield in the 1980s. In 1996, his locally renowned business, now known as Douglas and Company, officially opened, with his parents serving as co-founders.
Eric’s relationship with his parents reflected years of support and trust. Mr. Harold and Mrs. Faye not only served as Eric’s parents but also held active roles in the business. Eric spent early mornings and long hours alongside his father as they worked the pit, smoking thousands of pounds of BBQ, ribs, and more for customers who soon became loyal patrons. His mother proudly served in the kitchen, cultivating the family-like atmosphere that is ever present at Douglas and Company as she worked alongside employees, teaching them her recipes that the community still loves. Eric’s parents provided him with a clear support system. The impact of that environment of devotion and generosity was evident in Eric’s life, not only in his family, but also in his business.
Inside Douglas and Company, Eric was not merely a passive owner. He greeted customers as they entered. He approached tables and struck up conversations. He built relationships with the customers who returned time after time to experience the homestyle cooking that reminded them of being with their families. Customers were not only invited into this family, but so were employees. Eric knew his role as the owner of a prominent small business meant serving as a mentor, a problem-solver, and a support system for those he entrusted with serving as representatives of his business. The southern hospitality was not an entrepreneurial approach but was instead a true part of his life, evident not only through his management but also through the relationships that developed inside those walls.
Eric’s life was built around the concept of being someone his family could always depend on. The pride he felt in caring for his family shaped and guided his actions. He was deeply committed to ensuring everyone was taken care of and felt seen and supported. Eric served as an exemplar of what it means to work hard and care for those you love. Even the passion behind his words when he felt you needed some redirection was rooted in his devotion to helping and supporting those he loved. While Eric undoubtedly ensured the well-being of his family, his care did not stop there. Eric is revered for his kind deeds and attentiveness to many, as his definition of family was expansive.
While his business of nearly 30 years received much of his time and attention, Eric also had many interests. Much like the hands-on effort of being a pit master, he also enjoyed welding, blacksmithing, and building small steam engines. He was well-versed in mechanics and enjoyed NASCAR and classic cars. Eric also had many horses he helped care for alongside his father and held great pride in his farmland and home place he shared with his wife. His humor and joke-telling were memorable parts of what made him Eric and will be long remembered as another personable quality he exhibited. Cooking, while a main part of his career, was also part of his personal life. He enjoyed cooking for his wife and his family, using food as yet another expression of his love and desire to care for those closest to him.
In lieu of flowers, and to honor Eric’s love through food, donations can be made to the Patty Dunn Memorial Backpack Attack Program, which serves almost 600 children across Robertson County. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home. Please make checks payable to Patty Dunn Backpack Program. The family received friends privately at his residence on Friday, September 25. In accordance with Eric’s wishes, no additional services will be held.

Esther Jones

75 Years Old
Sweet little Esther Louise Jones, 75, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2026, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of faith in Jesus Christ, unconditional love, unlimited kindness, sacrificial living, amazing creativity, and cherished memories. Her family was her greatest earthly treasure.
Esther was a hardworking woman with a wonderfully creative spirit and a heart full of compassion. She was truly one of the kindest people you could ever meet. But more than anything, Esther was always there. She showed up. When someone needed her, she was there. When someone needed a helping hand, a listening ear, she could be counted on.
She had a remarkable way of putting others before herself. Esther gave freely of her time, her energy, her resources, and her love. She taught her family not only how to love others, but how to give sacrificially—to put someone else’s needs before their own and to serve without expecting anything in return. Her life was a living example of what it means to love selflessly.
Esther also had a wonderful sense of humor and a joy for life. She loved to dance and could bring laughter into a room with her playful spirit. Her family will always remember her Dolly Parton impersonations and the joy she brought through her creativity and personality. No one has ever made a better lasagna or turkey dressing and there wasn’t a roller coaster that she wouldn’t ride.
As a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Esther leaves behind more than memories. She leaves a legacy. She taught her family through the way she lived—to love God, love family, work hard, show up for others, give generously, and put others first.
Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort knowing that Esther is fully healed now and with God and family that she loved so dearly. We can honor her life by carrying forward the lessons she taught us and by loving others with the same selfless heart she showed us every day.
Mom, thank you for teaching us what sacrificial love looks like. Your kindness, faith, creativity, laughter, dancing, and love will live on in us and through every generation that follows. You gave so much of yourself to all of us, and we will spend our lives carrying your love forward. Until we meet again, we love you.
Celebration of Life services will be conducted Monday October 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Brother Billy Traughber officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Jamie LaBorg, Austin LaBorg, Mason LaBorg, Ryan Mlckovsky, Richard Traughber, and Tim Ross serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday October 5th from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home.

Martha Balcom

Martha M. Balcom, born Martha Jones, passed away on September 26, 2026, in White House, Tennessee, one day after her 96th birthday. She was born on September 25, 1930, in Jackson County, Tennessee, and lived a long life marked by faith, determination, hard work, and care for others.
From an early age, Martha understood responsibility. She left school early to help on the family farm, a choice that reflected the strong work ethic that would remain with her throughout her life. In later years, she spent many years working in the clothing industry, helping to make boots and dresses. She was known as a fighter—tough as nails, determined, and steadfast—yet she was also loving and caring, a woman whose strength was matched by her warmth.
Martha was a woman of strong Christian faith and a lifelong member of the White House Church of Christ. Her faith was not only something she believed, but something she lived each day. She found meaning in volunteering through the church to help those in need, and that quiet service became part of the way she cared for her community. She also loved sewing and quilting, pursuits that reflected both her skillful hands and her patient spirit. She enjoyed bird watching as well, taking pleasure in the simple beauty of the world around her.
She is preceded in death by her parents Will and Polly Jones, her first husband Clayton Durrett, second husband Eugene Balcom, daughter Lydia M. Durrett, her brothers Buckanan Jones, James Jones, and Randall Jones, sister Lucinda Alman.
She is survived by her daughter Yvonne Durrett and son David Durrett.
Those who knew Martha will remember a woman who met life with grit and grace. She worked hard, loved deeply, and gave generously of herself. Her life was shaped by perseverance, devotion, and a steady willingness to help wherever she was needed.
Visitation for Martha will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home and Cremation Services – White House, 212 Highway 76, White House, TN 37188. A funeral service will follow there at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place at 1:00 p.m. at White House Church of Christ, 205 Spring St, White House, TN 37188.

Connie Sue Galbreath

Connie Galbreath, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, passed away suddenly on Friday, September 25, 2026, at the age of 59. A longtime resident of the Union Hill community, Connie made her home on Lickton Pike with her husband, Keith Galbreath, for the past 35 years.
Connie was born on December 3, 1966, in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, to Paul and Betty Coleman. She was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and a beloved member of her community.
For 20 years, Connie had the privilege of driving a school bus for Metro Nashville Public Schools. She touched the lives of countless children, families, and coworkers along the way. Those who knew Connie will remember her for her warm heart, her generosity, her sense of humor, and the genuine love she had for the people around her.
Family and friends were at the center of Connie’s life. She especially enjoyed spending time with her “running buddies”—her mother, neighbors, former coworkers, and, most of all, the love of her life, Keith. Together, Connie and Keith shared 35 years of marriage and countless memories.
Connie had a special place in her heart for her many nieces and nephews. She shared an especially close bond with her niece, Tenley Ayers (Coleman), and her great-niece, Adley Ray Ayers. Adley affectionately called Connie “Umm,” a special name that quickly became a beloved nickname throughout the family and among friends. Connie treasured that name and the love behind it.
She was preceded in death by her in-laws, David and Frances Galbreath; her grandparents, Andy and Betty Sivak; and her great-niece, Emerson Kate Ayers.
Connie leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 35 years, Keith Galbreath; her parents, Paul and Betty Coleman; her brothers, James (Carla) Coleman, Timothy (Cindy) Coleman, and Danny Coleman; her brother-in-law, Jody (Stephanie) Galbreath; her nieces and nephews, Tenley(Jason)Ayers, Taylor(Skylar) Galbreath, Evan Coleman, Jenna(Andrew)Sitlinger, Jared Galbreath, Eric(Ellie)Coleman, and Ella Galbreath; her great-niece and great-nephew, Adley Ayers and Sawyer Ayers; and many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Connie’s sudden passing leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of those who loved her. Her kindness, laughter, love of family, and the countless memories she created will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Joel “Big Jody” Whittemore

Joel Hollis Whittemore, known to many as “Big Jody,” passed away at his home in Portland, Tennessee, on September 25, 2026, surrounded by family. He was born on February 9, 1953, in Glasgow, Kentucky.
Joel will be remembered as a loving, caring, kind, and patient man whose steady reliability shaped the lives of those around him. He was the kind of person who always went above and beyond, offering not only his strength and hard work, but also his warmth, wit, and humor. To his family, he was a great husband, father, and grandfather, and the pride he took in them was one of the clearest reflections of who he was.
For more than 30 years, Joel owned and operated JJJ Masonry, building both a livelihood and a reputation through honest work and dedication. He would end up putting his family to work for him as well. His children claim they had been fired by Dad more often than they quit. He also spent time working for the Red Cross as a blood donation bus driver. In the course of his life’s work, he helped build homes, leaving behind lasting signs of his labor in the communities he served.
Outside of work, Joel gave generously of himself in the things he loved most. He coached softball for more than 30 years, including travel softball with Madison Parks, investing time and encouragement into young athletes over decades. He enjoyed reading and treasured trips to the library with his daughter when she was young. He especially liked western novels and books about history. He was also a devoted Atlanta Braves fan, and one cherished memory for his family was the time his children took him to a game in Atlanta for Father’s Day.
Joel found great joy in spending time in the wilderness and in simple, lasting moments with the people he loved. He loved camping and spending time in the great outdoors, and trips to the Smoky Mountains became part of the family’s treasured memories. His wife has wonderful memories of their time together at Yellowstone National Park. He took special pleasure in teaching his children and grandchildren how to fish, passing along both patience and love in those quiet moments by the water. More than anything, he loved spending time with family, especially his grandbabies, who brought him deep happiness.
His proudest accomplishment was his family, and the legacy of love that remains in the heart of the ones he loved.
Joel is preceded in death by his father Cordell Whittemore, mother and stepfather Lorell and Pete Davis, and his brothers Jerry and Tony Whittemore.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Thalia Whittemore, children Joel “Lil’ Jody” (Kerri) Whittemore, James “Bubba” (Brandy) Whittemore, Tiffany Whittemore (Kevin Davis), Eric (Morgan) Whittemore. He will be missed by his grandchildren; Makayla, Mackenzie, Addison, Caleb, Easton, Cortland, Christian, Sula, Jessica, and Nicole. He is also survived by his sisters Terri Miller and Dorothy Miller, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on October 1, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home and Cremation Services – White House, 212 Highway 76, White House, Tennessee 37188. A graveside service will follow from 11:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery, US-31W, White House, Tennessee 37188.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 18th, 2026, at J. Travis Park from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Margaret Amelia Pico, née Bishop, passed away on September 24, 2026, in Hendersonville, Tennessee, at Tristar Hendersonville after a long battle with medical complications. She was 81.
Born on July 16, 1945, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Margaret will be remembered as a woman of Christian faith whose life was marked by love, gentleness, and quiet strength. She was loving and caring, soft spoken, sensitive, and known for her good heart and calm nature. She was someone who found joy in tenderness, family, and the simple comforts of home.
Margaret enjoyed reading, completing puzzles, and playing card games with her family. Some of her happiest moments were the quiet ones, sitting on the porch with her husband and watching the birds together. Those peaceful times reflected so much of who she was: content in companionship, appreciative of life’s small beauties, and happiest when surrounded by love.
Her family was at the center of her life. She treasured spending time with her family and grandchildren, and she delighted in the laughter and togetherness they shared.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents Emil and Margaret Bishop. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years Carmen John Pico Sr., her children John (Tonia) Pico and Donna (Sean) Madden, grandchildren; Lexi, Tori, Sean (Sarah), Kyle, and Joshua, and great grandchild Shepherd Madden. She is also survived by her brother John (Dianne) Bishop, and will be greatly missed by her dog, Rocky, the dachshund.
She leaves behind a memory that will be cherished by all who had the blessing of knowing her. Her life was one of quiet devotion, gentle faith, and deep affection for the people she loved. Her presence will be deeply missed.
Margaret attended Gideon Methodist Church in Greenbrier, Tennessee, and her faith remained an important part of her life. She will be remembered for the kindness she extended, the calm presence she offered, and the love she gave so freely.
A Memorial Service will be held for Margaret at the Gideon Methodist Church on Sunday, October 4th, 2026, at 2pm.

Linda Joyce Davis

Linda Joyce Davis, of Madison, Tennessee, passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on November 22, 1952, moved through life with a spirit that was both stubborn and deeply loving. Those who knew her understood her caring nature and the quiet strength she carried with her.
Linda attended Middle Tennessee State University and graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Library Sciences. Her love of learning was matched by a genuine love of reading. Books brought her great enjoyment, and she was especially fond of mystery novels, including Sherlock Holmes, while the works of Agatha Christie held a special place among her favorites.
She worked as a housekeeper for many years, a role that reflected her steady work ethic, dedication and her attention to detail. For a short time, she also worked for Anchor Wire before returning to hospitality work.
Linda was also an animal lover in every sense of the word. When she was able, she always had pets in her life, and over the years she cared for a memorable and varied menagerie that included cats, ferrets, reptiles, dogs, and even a rabbit. Her home and heart made room for all of God’s creatures.
She was a woman of Christian faith and was raised within the Baptist church. Although Linda did not attend church, her faith and love for God were very much a part of her life. Her worship was not confined to four walls, but could be found in the beauty of creation, in the love shared with others, and in the quiet moments spent with God.
Linda Joyce Davis is preceded in death by her parents Henry and Bessie Davis. She is survived by her brothers Henry Davis and Charles Davis, niece and nephew Roslynn McManaway and James Davis, her cousin Donna Whitworth and Donna’s daughter Stephanie.
Linda Joyce Davis will be remembered for her determination, her caring heart, her love of books, and the warmth she gave to the animals and people around her. Her memory remains a lasting presence to all who knew and loved her.

Neaveh Faith Wagner

Neaveh Faith Wagner, 4 months, was born on April 29th, 2026, and tragically passed away at the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital on September 23rd, 2026. She was, in every sense, a true bundle of joy—a happy, beautiful little girl whose presence brought light and love to the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.
From the very beginning, she was an observant and remarkably aware baby, always looking around, taking in the world around her as though she wanted to understand everything she saw. Her family often joked that she was a little picky, but her father lovingly made sure she had everything she needed and more. She was deeply cherished, and her family took joy in watching her discover the world around her.
Music brought her comfort and peace. Her father remembers how “Rest on Us” by Maverick City Music would help put her at ease, creating quiet moments of comfort that he will carry with him always. Those moments, though simple, are among the precious memories her family will forever hold close.
Like every parent, her family dreamed of the life that awaited her. They wanted her to have the very best of everything—to grow into a bright young woman, to discover her gifts and passions, and to become whatever she dreamed of becoming. They imagined watching her learn, grow, succeed, and find her own path in life. They wanted her to have every opportunity to succeed in all her endeavors and to know, every step of the way, just how deeply she was loved.
Her life was tragically and devastatingly cut short as the result of child abuse and neglect. No child should ever have to endure what she endured, and no family should have to bury a child because the systems meant to protect them failed to do so. Her family has chosen not to let her story end with her death. Instead, they are using their grief to advocate for change, working alongside lawmakers and others committed to strengthening protections for children and creating safeguards designed to help prevent another family from experiencing this same unimaginable loss. If passed “Neveah’s Law,” will create a registry to help identify individuals who have has prior convictions of abuse, allowing government agencies to identify people who pose a high risk to harming children.
In her memory, her family hopes that her name will become part of something greater than their grief—a reminder that children deserve to be protected, heard, and safe. They are committed to pursuing meaningful change so that warning signs are recognized, vulnerable children are better protected, and systems are strengthened to help prevent abuse before another child’s life is lost.
Even in the midst of such profound tragedy, she gave a final gift of life. Through organ donation, vital parts of her continued on to help other children. Her heart was given to a child in New York, while her liver was given to a young boy here in Middle Tennessee. Though her own life was far too short, a part of her will continue through the lives she helped save.
Her family will forever grieve the future they dreamed of for her—the first steps they should have witnessed, the words they should have heard her speak, the laughter they should have shared, and the bright young woman they should have had the privilege of watching her become. But they will also remember the little girl she was: happy, curious, observant, comforted by music, and loved beyond measure.
She deserved a lifetime.
She deserved to grow up.
She deserved every beautiful thing her family dreamed of for her.
And though she was given far too little time, her life mattered. Her love mattered. Her story matters. And through the lives she touched and the lives she has helped save; her light will continue to shine.
Neaveh is survived by her father Edward “Eddy” Wagner and his fiancé Natalie Montez, mother Jessica Petty, half-sister Emily Crittenden, paternal grandparents Donna and Paul Schlacht, maternal grandmother Dale Briley, aunt Beth Wagner, aunt Rebecca Petty, aunt Angela Briley, and special friends who were considered as family: Vanessa Hamrick, Gina Eubanks, and Matthew White.

Mary Esther Lotts, age 79, of Old Hickory, TN, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2026, at McKendree Post Acute & Rehabilitation in Hermitage. Mrs. Lotts wishes were to be cremated, and a Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 11:AM on Saturday, October 3rd, at Springfield Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Lotts was born December 21, 1946, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to the late John Edward and Esther Alvina Springer. She loved quilt making and baking, especially baking cookies with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lotts was preceded in death by her husband, John David Lotts, Sr.; and a granddaughter, Isabella Grace “Lady Bug” Fevold.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Wayne (Laura) Fevold and Edward Allen (Meredith) Fevold; 4 grandchildren, James “Drew” Fevold, Taylor (David) Porter, Ashleigh Fevold, and Katie (C. J.) Maton; 1 great grandchild, Sadie Maton; brothers, Donald (Sue) John Springer and John “Kevin” (Laurie) Springer; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Mullen was born September 23, 1988 in Springfield, TN to Mrs. Rose Marie Mullen of Springfield and the late Mr. Larry Gene Mullen.
Mr. Mullen worked as a Door Dash delivery driver. He was a devoted son, caring for his disabled mother until her illness caused her to move to NHC Healthcare. Even then, Mr. Mullen spent as much time as he could with her there.

She loved being outside tending to her yard and to her flowers. She enjoyed shopping and taking care of everyone. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Estell Brinkley; brother, Jamie Camplin; brother-in-law, Billy Jones.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Donna (Rick) Gammons, White Huse, TN; brother, David Camplin, Portland, TN; sisters, Betty Compline, Portland, TN and Brenda Jones, White House, TN.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at 11am in White House Memorial Gardens with Pastor Greg Young officiating. Visitation is planned for Tuesday, September 29, 2026 3pm until 7pm at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House.

Nancy Ann Micol, age 75 of White House passed away September 25, 2026 at Skyline Medical Center. She was born April 1, 1951 in Highland Park, MI to William A. Davison and Dorothy Ann Comport Davison. She worked in the restaurant and catering industry before her retirement.
She loved baking, especially cheesecakes, crocheting, cooking and helping others. She was an avid Billy Ray Cyrus fan. She was selfless in her giving and made hundreds of crocheted afghans for homeless veterans. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Micol.
She is survived by her lifelong partner, Steven Jones, White House, TN; son, Jerry Woody, Westland, MI; brothers, Jim Davison and Rick (Karen) Davison, both of Canton, MI.

Lisa Kathleen Taber, age 80 of Hendersonville went home to be with the Lord Thursday evening September 24, 2026 at Hendersonville Medical Center. She was born January 18 1946 in Beatrice, Nebraska to Rhichard Phillip Vance & Katherine Elaine Hughs Vance.
She worked as a dental ceramist until her retirement. She loved drawing and was very artistic. She enjoyed playing guitar watching movies and was an amazing cook and was very passionate about Bible study. She texted many bible verses to her friends and family as she read and found things that she thought would help them. She also enjoyed reading the classics and loved gaining wisdom of the Ages reading about the old paths.
She attended Long Hollow Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jesse Daniel Taber; sisters, Johnnie Vance and Sheila Vance.
She is survived by her sons, Jason (Melody) Taber, Hendersonville, TN and Chris (Crystal) Cox, Highlands Ranch, CO; daughter, Heidi Taber, White House, TN; sisters, Cindy (Damien) Lee, Kelly Vance & Julie (Michael) Vance, all of Seattle, WA; 11 grandchildren.

John Rolfe
February 25, 1938 – September 23, 2026
John McKain “Mack” Rolfe, age 88, of Brentwood, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm Thursday, October 1st at Green Hills Community Church with Rev. Charles Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery with Dick Rolfe, Jim Rolfe, John Rolfe, Davis Rolfe, Nick Rolfe and Richard Rolfe serving as pallbearers.
Mr. Rolfe was born February 25, 1938, in Nashville, to the late Charles Nelson and Dorothy Carlin Rolfe, Jr.. He was an athlete and graduated from Montgomery Bell Academy, class of 1958, and he played football for, and graduated from Vanderbilt in 1961. Mr. Rolfe was a U.S. Navy veteran where he served as a Lieutenant and Naval Aviator. He went on to have a very successful career in the automotive industry, retiring with Andrews Cadillac after 40 plus years of service.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Rolfe was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Linda Patterson “Pat” Rolfe; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles Nelson Rolfe, III and his wife Margaret Oliver Rolfe, and Joseph Carlin Rolfe and his wife Anne M. Rolfe.
He is survived by his sons, John (Vanessa) Rolfe, Jim (Mary K.) Rolfe and Dick (Michelle) Rolfe; 7 grandchildren, Davis (Kimberly) Rolfe, Becca (Peyton) Garrett, Quinn (Garrett) Bethel, Nick (Chandler-Grace) Rolfe, Richard Rolfe, Jenna Rolfe and Campbell (Stuart) Smith; 5 great grandchildren.

Ventura Johnston
December 2, 1941 – September 22, 2026
Ventura Natalia Aldape Johnston, age 84, of Cedar Hill, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at The Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville after fighting a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. A graveside service will be held Friday, September 25, 2026 at 11am in the Bellwood Cemetery with Father Delly Mutjuka officiating. No visitation will be held prior to the graveside service.
Mrs. Johnston was born December 2, 1941 in Laredo, TX to the late Rodolfo Aldape and Josephine De Leon. Known to her friends and family as “Nina”, she worked with her late husband, David Johnston, at their restaurant in North Carolina. Those that knew her know that she had 15 siblings (10 sisters and 5 brothers), she loved her family, dancing, travel, and was a collector of antiques.
Mrs. Johnston is survived by her children, Sandra Obregon, Gumaro Obregon, Gina Obregon, Mario Obregon, Corey Johnston, and Michelle Smith; 25 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

Kelly Christine Kimble

Kelly Christine Kimble, age 51 of Gallatin passed away Sunday, September 20, 2026 at her home. She was born July 24, 1975 in Madison, TN to Joseph Sanders and Vicki Freudenthal Sanders.
She worked in the food service industry until becoming disabled. She enjoyed going to concerts, riding roller coasters playing contests and winning tickets off the radio, listening to 80’s rock music and just hanging out with her friends. Her daughter and her grandson were her whole world and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for them.
She is survived by her daughter, Nikki (Malaki Augerlavoie) Kimble and grandson, Dakota Augerlavoie; parents, Joseph & Vicki Sanders, all of Gallatin, TN; sisters, Rachel (Frank) Lines, Franklin, KY and Jennifer (Billy) Johnson, Portland, TN; 2 nieces, Courtney Sanders, Hartsville, TN and Heather Briley, White House, TN; nephew, Josh Lines, Franklin, KY.
Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 2pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House, with Pastor Clay Baggett officiating.
A private family interment will be held following the service at White House Memorial Gardens with family serving as pallbearers.
Visitation is planned for Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 10am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
