One Person Shot In Coopertown Friday
Smokey Barn News has confirmed that one person was shot on Joey Court in Coopertown Friday after noon. On October 19th 2012 @ 3:30pm Deputies responded to a shooting call in Oak Point subdivision. Robertson County Sheriff’s Office responded and one male suspect was arrested. The victim (a black male) was shot in the head and shoulder and was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center via LifeFlight. The helicopter landed at Coopertown Middle School.
During the investigation Detectives with the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office identified a suspect in the shooting as Antonio Miller 20 years of age. The suspect resides at 3055 Joey Ct in Oak Point subdivision. Antonio Miller has been charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit First Degree Murder, and has been booked into the Robertson County Detention Center.
Shortly after the shooting the gun was retrieved at the suspects home. At this time the victim is listed in critical, but stable condition. The name of the victim is
not being released at this time pending notification to the family.
The investigation into the shooting is still ongoing.
