GREENBRIER TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – An outbuilding used for sawdust collection at the Hinkle Chair Company manufacturing facility in Greenbrier ignited Thursday afternoon but local firefighters quickly contained the fire.

Hinkle Chair Co. carries a Greenbrier address, positioned in the 4600 block of Mt Sharon Rd. MAP The first call came into 911 at 12:18 pm.

The (estimated) 30 by 50 structure is situated far enough away from the main complex to pose little danger to other parts of the factory, officials said.

No injuries were reported and the Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department, with the aid of the White House Community Volunteer Fire Department and Springfield Fire, quickly brought the fire under control and kept it from spreading.

Robertson County EMS, the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency and the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office were on standby just in case but no injuries were reported and the fire was quickly contained.

According to Fire Chief P.J. Duncan with the Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department, about 90% of the building was damaged.
