Pizza Driver Robbed In Springfield, Part Of String Police Say
On Friday April 17, around 11:00 pm Springfield Officers were dispatched to Southfield Apartments located at 100 Southfield Dr, in Springfield in reference to an armed robbery. On arrival, Officers met a delivery driver for Papa Johns Pizza. The driver reported that he had just been robbed of a small amount of cash at gunpoint.
The driver stated that the suspects were four young black males, one of which was armed with a handgun. The driver was not injured during the incident.
Springfield Police are asking the public for help in identifying the four persons involved in this Robbery.
Crime Stoppers of Springfield/Robertson County Board of Directors recently voted to increase the reward amount up to $5,000.00 for information that will lead to arrests and convictions on a number of unsolved robberies occurring over the past year.
Individual citizens have been the target of robberies (more) on several occasions, as well as businesses such as South Side Drug (see full report) and Papa Johns Pizza (see full report).
“Many of these robberies may be the work of the same individuals and we’d like to get them off the streets,” said Springfield Police Chief David Thompson.
The Crime Stoppers Board believes that increasing the reward amount may encourage more cooperation and tips from the public. Each closed tip (Arrest Made by Law Enforcement) will be individually reviewed and voted on by Crime Stoppers Board Members to reach the reward amount in each individual case.
Anyone with information regarding any of these incidents is encouraged to contact Springfield Police at 615-384-8422 or Crime Stoppers at 615-382-3799. All information is anonymous.

I think its gonna take drastic measures to stop these crooks.
The police have suspects in this case. They were called to the High school because someone overheard 1 of the guys bragging about it but no arrests were made because they said they had no proof. I think a confession is proof enough.
