Thursday morning Millersville police and Fire removed about 60 feeder rats and one big exotic African Frog from Gone Wild Exotics off HWY 31W and  Stearman Dr in Millersville. Police say they were told that the animals were left abandoned at the store after the business closed over three weeks ago.

In Smokey’s investigation we learned that less than two weeks ago the facility was given a clean bill of health by Robertson County Animal Control. The owners of the business say they have been checking on the feeder rats and the frog about every two days while they waited on a buyer to come collect them.

The owners told Smokey that they are in total shock after hearing of the allegations of animal cruelty and they can prove they did not mistreat any of the animals in their care. The owners will learn sometime Friday morning whether they will be formally charged in the death of 6 feeder rats. See Smokey’s video report for the full story.
