Police: Springfield Man Pulls Gun In Hardee’s Drive-Thru
A Springfield man was arrested after pulling a gun in what police are calling “Parking Lot Rage.”

According to a release from Franklin Police, a Springfield man is free on bond after a ‘parking lot rage’ incident landed him in jail for aggravated assault. Officers were summoned to Hardee’s, 1315 Murfreesboro Rd, at 9:47 Monday morning to investigate a man with a gun call.
During their investigation, officers determined that 34-year-old Joseph Evans allegedly pulled a pistol on another drive-thru customer during a heated verbal altercation. During the alleged exchange, Evans allegedly got out of his car and, with a gun in his hand, approached the victim in a threatening manner. Evans, charged with Aggravated Assault, is free on a $15,000 bond.
Evans is due in court on 12/11/2014 at 1:00pm. If convicted, Evans could face up to 6 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
Police say, if you are confronted with violence on the street or in a parking lot, the best way to protect yourself and your family is to lock your doors and drive away from the danger while calling 911.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
