Portland Goes Green With Water Test

PORTLAND TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) –Over the next few days, the City of Portland will monitor rainfall and seek to complete a Water Tracing Dye Test if possible. The testing will allow the City to monitor storm flows as they look for cross connections.

This dye is neon green and you may notice streams or drainage areas turn that color. While the dye is environmentally friendly, it is recommended that you neither ingest or come in contact with it. This product does not affect the safety of the water supply or the drinking water.

Crews will be stationed around different areas to monitor the flow.
