Prankster Triggers Brief Lockdown at TriStar NorthCrest in Springfield
SPRINGFIELD, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) -TriStar Northcrest Medical Center in Springfield was placed on a brief lockdown after receiving two calls threatening violence at the hospital. Springfield Police and hospital security were quick to lockdown and secure the hospital while Springfield Police investigated.
After a thorough search, no threat was found at the hospital, the calls likely the result of a swatting or pranking mechanism. “Springfield Police did a magnificent job working with our staff to secure the hospital,” said TriStar NorthCrest CEO, Sean Patterson. “As a precaution, security at the hospital will remain elevated this morning so you may notice a few friendly Springfield Police officers at the hospital but we are operating at full capacity.
