Key Forecast Points:

Impacts: Some minor road impacts across the mid state, with higher chances for travel impacts north and east of Nashville, especially the Cumberland Plateau with any higher snow amounts that may fall.

Timing: Rain will move in Friday afternoon from the northwest and transition to a rain/snow mix late afternoon/early evening, and all snow by the late evening Friday across the area.

• Models have trended higher with snow amounts in the past 24 hours.
• There is still a large spread of snow amounts between the models, and that’s keeping confidence low on forecasted snow at this time.
• Models could trend downward with snow, and bring in drier air, which would increase confidence in lower snow amounts than the current forecast.
