HWY 49 and Hwy 161 Road Closure Dates (TDOT PROJECTS)
ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – We have two road closures due to TDOT projects you may want to take a look at coming up in the next few days. Hwy 161 MONDAY and Hwy 49 THURSDAY.
The FIRST CLOSURE: (PROJECT DELAYED DUE TO RAIN) Hwy 161 Between Hwy 41 North and James W Long Rd. MAP (NO DATE AVAILABLE.) No reopening time was available. Detour route: Hwy 431 to Hwy 25 and vice versa. DETOUR MAP
The SECOND CLOSURE: TDOT has a project planned on Hwy 49 East at the 6168 address. The project is a dig. This will be a hard closure of Hwy 49 between Wilkes Rd. and Owens Chapel Rd. MAP
TDOT suggests a detour route of Wilkes Rd To 431 N to Hwy 25 and or vice versa. DETOUR MAP This job will be done on THURSDAY, November 2nd starting at 6 pm.
The project is the replacement of a culvert at the mile marker 13.4. The road will need to be completely closed starting at 6:00pm and should reopen to traffic prior to 6:00 am. This project is weather-dependent and will be canceled if heavy rain is in the forecast.
