Robertson County Hosts High-Level Event Honoring Randy McNally

ROBERTSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE (Smokey Barn News): One of the most notable gatherings of political leaders in Robertson County history took place last week at the home of Senator Kerry Roberts and his wife, Dianne, where state officials and lawmakers assembled to honor the retirement of Lt. Governor and Speaker of the Senate Randy McNally.

According to Senator Kerry Roberts, McNally announced in April that he will not seek re-election, bringing to a close a 48-year career in the Tennessee General Assembly.

Among those attending the event were Bill Lee, Bill Haslam, Tre Hargett, Jason Mumpower, former state senators, and current members of the Tennessee Senate. Dinner for the evening was catered by The Depot.

The meal was served by students from Springfield High School Culinary Arts, joined by members of the school’s football team, soccer team, FFA, cheerleading squad, and ROTC.

Following dinner, both Bill Haslam and Bill Lee offered remarks, expressing their appreciation for Randy McNally and his decades of service to the people of Tennessee.
