Robertson County Man Dies in Gallatin Motorcycle Crash
ORLINDA, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) -A motorcyclist from Robertson County was fatally injured in a multi-vehicle crash Thursday morning on Gallatin Pike North.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:50 a.m. in the 1500 block of Gallatin Pike North. The motorcyclist, identified as Daniel Poole, 19, of Orlinda, Tennessee, was riding a Harley-Davidson southbound when the crash occurred.
According to preliminary findings, the driver of a Honda Accord, identified as Tuyen Ta, 55, of Goodlettsville, was exiting the parking lot of 1582 Gallatin Pike North and attempting to cross over to Pep Boys, located directly across the roadway. LOCATION OF CRASH In doing so, Ta reportedly struck Poole, sideswiping his motorcycle.
The collision caused Poole to slide across the roadway into the northbound lane, where he was then struck by two additional vehicles.
Poole was transported to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, where he died from his injuries.
Authorities reported no signs of impairment for any of the drivers involved. The contributing factor, according to the investigation, appears to be failure to yield on the part of the Accord driver.
