Robertson County Proclaimed “SODA FREE” For June & July
ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The Robertson County Dental Clinic, part of the Robertson County Health Department, is launching its first annual SODA FREE SUMMER beginning June 1st, 2016. Mayor Howard Bradley has proclaimed Robertson County “SODA FREE” for June and July. Together we are encouraging children to be “SODA FREE” for the entire summer.
Our goal is for all participants to remain Soda free from June 1st –July 30th while focusing on living a healthy lifestyle and drinking lots of water.
With obesity, diabetes, and heart disease on the rise, it’s important that we make a change today. Sugary drinks are the #1 added source of sugar in our diet. By making the pledge to drink water instead of soda, you are decreasing your risk of obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and oral health problems.
All participants have to be soda free from June 1st-July 30th and be signed up before June 10th to be invited to our grand swim party at the YMCA July 30th at 6:00 p.m. All participates who complete the challenge will be eligible to win awesome prizes. You can register on their website www.SodaFreeTn.org
