Robertson County Schools Close Thurs. & Fri. Due To Frigid Temps

ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) Robertson County Schools will be closed Thursday, January 4, 2018 and Friday, January 5, 2018 due to the extremely cold temperatures.

All daycare programs, except Coopertown Elementary, will remain open.

Additionally, to support the needs of all families, the Family Resource Center (located at Bransford Elementary School) will open the food pantry for all families in need from 8AM-3PM on Thursday and Friday.

Families who participate the backpack program may pick up their backpacks on Friday. If you are in need of food and do not have transportation, please call 615.382.3609.

Sumner County Schools will also be closed for the rest of this week.

*The high for Thursday will be around 22 with a low temp of 9. Friday’s high temp will be 23 with an  evening low of 9 degrees. Temperatures will increase to the mid 40’s on Sunday with 90% chance of rain.

Put Down Your Phone In School zones – Bill 0954: Handheld cell phone use in a school zone when the warning lights are flashing will now cost you $50.

We follow the Robertson County School System’s inclement weather schedule. Therefore, we will be CLOSED Thursday & Friday like the county schools. We will re-open (weather permitting) on Monday, Jan. 8th. Please stay safe & warm!!
