Robertson County Students Classroom Moved To U.S. Capitol Steps
WASHINGTON, D.C. (Smokey Barn News) – Today, Congressman Diane Black (R-TN-06) greeted students from South Haven Christian School in Springfield, Tennessee on their trip to Washington. Congressman Black met the 11th grade students and teachers from the school outside the U.S. Capitol to answer students’ questions and discuss Tennessee’s 6th Congressional District.
Congressman Black’s office arranged the school’s Capitol and White House tours.
“It is always a special privilege for me to welcome students from Tennessee’s 6th District to Washington,” said Congressman Diane Black. “I appreciate South Haven’s school administrator, Dr. Steve Blaser, and the SHCS teachers and parents for giving these students this unique opportunity. Our Capitol belongs to the American people and it deserves to be experienced and enjoyed by the next generation of leaders.”
