Students from East Robertson and Jo Byrns High Schools qualify for regional golf tournament
The East Robertson Boys Golf Team qualified for the regional tournament shooting a 353 last Monday at Ted Rhodes Golf Course. This makes the first time the Indians have qualified as a team in the school’s history. ER was led by Levi Lorenzo’s 74, which was good enough to tie for second place overall. Marshall Wix shot a 91, John Michael Hobdy 93, BJ Vaughn 95, and Matthew Wix 108.
Delaney Lazenby’s 81 was good enough to qualify her as well. She finished 3rd among all scores and was the district’s first qualifier. This is Delaney’s second appearance in the Regional Tournament. (submitted photos)
Three Jo Byrns students also made it to regional playoffs. They played at Ted Rhodes on September 16th. Freshman Nicholas Henderson advanced when he shot 76. Also sophomores Maecy Traughber and Haleigh Riley advanced for the girls.
