Robertson County Swift Water Teams Rescue Seven During Tuesday’s Flooding
ROBERTSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Heavy rainfall that moved through Robertson County on Tuesday, July 21, led to multiple swift water rescue incidents, prompting a coordinated response from emergency crews across the county.
According to the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, members of the agency’s Swift Water Rescue Team responded to numerous flooding-related emergencies throughout the day as rising waters created hazardous conditions.
Working alongside the Greenbrier Fire Department, the White House Community Volunteer Fire Department, and the Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department, first responders safely rescued seven individuals from flooded homes and vehicles.
Officials reported that no injuries occurred among the citizens who were rescued or the emergency personnel involved in the operations.
Emergency officials say the incidents highlighted the importance of strong partnerships and coordinated emergency response efforts. The Robertson County Emergency Management Agency expressed its appreciation to the firefighters, police officers, sheriff’s deputies, rescuers, dispatchers, and other emergency responders from the participating agencies who answered the call and worked together to protect the community.
Following Tuesday’s flooding, officials are again reminding motorists never to drive through flooded roadways. Floodwaters can rise quickly and are often deeper and faster-moving than they appear.
