Robertson Schools Plan Bus Route Test Monday July 31st

ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Buses for Robertson County Schools will be on the road Monday morning, July 31, as drivers familiarize themselves with their routes before picking up students on Thursday for the first half-day of school. The buses will be running at or close to their normal time and will be empty except for drivers.

Transportation supervisor Josh Hinerman said this an effort to identify potential safety and efficiency issues before actually placing students on the buses later in the week.

Hinerman said drivers will run their routes exactly as prescribed and will be activating their yellow caution lights at each stop. This activation will provide a GPS waypoint in the district’s software for each stop on their route. The resulting information, according to Hinerman, will help provide the accuracy needed for better customer care for district parents.

Please consider the buses as a reminder to be alert on the road as the new school year begins August, 3.

The first full day of school will be Monday, Aug. 7.
