PLEASANT VIEW, TENNESSEE (Smokey Barn News) – A driver walked away without injuries after a dramatic rollover crash on Mt. Zion Road earlier today. According to Trey Nelms, Assistant Chief of the Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department, the accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on a section of road with about a 10 or 12-foot drop-off. LOCATION OF CRASH

The vehicle reportedly rolled down the embankment, pancaking its roof nearly down to the dashboard. Fortunately, the driver managed to climb out under his own power and refused medical transport after being evaluated by Robertson County EMS.

While the Tennessee Highway Patrol was en route, the scene was managed by Pleasant View firefighters and Coopertown Police, who directed traffic around the area. The vehicle was off the roadway, and no major traffic disruption occurred.

Overall, it was a fortunate outcome given the severity of the rollover, Nelms said.
