Rollover Crash In Downtown Springfield Injures One Christmas Eve

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A two-vehicle rollover crash in Springfield sent one person to the hospital Christmas Eve.

The crash occurred on East 22nd Ave at the Mooreland Dr intersection, right there by the children’s clinic, the first call coming into 911 at 6:05 pm. LOCATION OF CRASH

According to officials at the scene, one person was transported to TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield with non-critical injuries. A child in the SUV was not injured.

Officials told Smokey Barn News that initially a woman was trapped in the overturned vehicle but was assisted out of the vehicle by a good samaritan before first responders arrived. 

With the hustle and bustle of last-minute shoppers, parties, and out-of-town visitors we’ve had a spike in motor vehicle crashes in the last 48 hours. Fortunately, no critical injuries have been reported.

The Springfield Police Department is leading the investigation, but the crash’s cause was not immediately available.

The Springfield Police Department, the Springfield Fire Department and Robertson County EMS all responded to the scene.
