Rollover Crash in Springfield Sends Two to Area Hospitals

SPRINGFIELD, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Two people were transported to area hospitals following a two-vehicle rollover crash in Springfield Sunday evening.

The crash occurred on Memorial Boulevard at Stonewall Drive, at the entrance of the Stonegate subdivision, about a block from South Haven Christian School. The first call coming into 911 around 5:45 p.m. LOCATION OF CRASH

One person was transported to Tristar NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield, and another was taken to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. Both sustained non-critical injuries, according to Robertson County EMS.

Robertson County EMS, the Springfield Fire Department, and Springfield Police responded to the scene. Springfield Police are leading the investigation.

The SUV appears to have left the roadway and struck a utility pole before rolling over onto its side, both vehicles landing in the roadway, blocking the entrance to the Stonegate subdivision. The utility pole disintegrated on impact, leaving fragments across the roadway.

The mechanics of the crash and why the driver left the roadway are still under investigation.
