 Rollover Crash Sends Vehicle Off A Bridge Into A Creek

GREENBRIER, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Distillery Rd in Greenbrier has reopened following a rollover crash that left the driver trapped in a vehicle upside down in a creek.

The crash occurred on Distillery Rd at Long Branch Rd at the bridge around 5:30 pm. LOCATION OF CRASH Neighbors told Smokey Barn News they heard the crash. “I heard the brakes, skidding and boom,” one neighbor said.

The vehicle contained one occupant (a 33-year-old male) who was entrapped but easily freed by first responders. He sustained only minor injuries but was transported to TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield, according to Robertson County EMS Director Brent Dyer.

Distillery Rd was slow for 2.5 hours while the THP investigated the crash and the vehicle was removed from the creek. The cause of the crash was not immediately available. Officials told Smokey Barn News that the driver was fortunate considering the mechanics of the crash.

The Greenbrier Fire Department, Robertson County EMS, the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, and the THP all responded to the scene.
