Sat. Heat Index Up to 110 With Severe Storms Bringing Winds Near 60 mph
ROBERTSON COUNTY/MIDDLE TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – According to the National Weather Service of Nashville, “This stretch of dangerous heat is almost over! We’re expecting one more day of heat index values of 105 – 110 degrees for much of Middle TN Saturday afternoon.
As such, the current Heat Advisory has been extended into Saturday evening. Additionally, thunderstorms return Saturday as well. Some of these storms may become strong to severe during the afternoon & early evening hours with damaging straight-line winds the main threat.
An important forecast note: The timing of these storms will likely have an impact on current expected high temperatures and heat index values. Cooler temperatures and heat index values may be recorded if these storms develop early.
