Saved From Bulldozers Old Springfield Station Gets New Life
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – City codes would never let you build it today, parked in (what looks like) the middle of the road an old gas station gets a chance at new life.
Clay Sneed grew up around the old station, him and his dad went there when he was a boy. Now he’s bought the old filling station and with the help of his daughter Julianna, has begun the arduous process of bringing it back to life, the only problem is, he’s still not sure what to do with it when it is all done.
The old station sits between Batts Blvd, 18th Ave East and Woodland St.. MAP

Tare down the old courthouse, nobody has awesome memories of that place, I’m just kidding, well sort of,
My paternal grandfather, Charlie Lee, and his brother, Hunter, ran that station way back in the 1960’s. Some of my earliest memories are of that station.
When I was a little girl I used to walk to that station and it was run by buck Evans. That’s where I would get my candy.
I was happy to see it remodeled.
