Single-Engine Plane Makes Emergency Landing At Springfield Airfield
SPRINGFIELD, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A single-engine aircraft made an emergency landing at the Springfield/Robertson County airport Friday evening.
The Springfield/Robertson Airport is located on Airport Rd at Hwy 41, MAP the first call coming into 911 at 9 p.m. The pilot reportedly radioed that the craft was experiencing an electrical issue and he needed to make an emergency landing. The Robertson County 911 Call Center was notified that the small craft was heading for Springfield by Nashville Air Traffic Control.
North Robertson Fire & Rescue, Robertson County EMS, and the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office responded. The Robertson County Emergency Management Agency was also called to the scene.
The craft landed safely and no injuries were reported. According to Fire Chief Chad Gregory with North Robertson Fire and Rescue, the lights of the single-engine plane were not working but came back on after the pilot reset the breakers.
