Springfield Dollar General Receives Bomb Threat Sunday Evening
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE (Smokey Barn News) The Dollar General located on Central Ave. In Springfield received a bomb threat Sunday evening. According to Springfield Police, the threat came in via a phone call around 8:30 p.m..
Police told Smokey Barn News that they were able to acquire a phone number (presumably from caller ID) but declined further comment, other than that the caller was male.
According to Emergency Management Agency Director R.L. Douglas, “No hazardous device was detected by Springfield City Fire Department or the Dollar General staff.”
In the last few months there have been a rash of bomb threats throughout the middle Tennessee area with some occurring right here in Robertson County. Officials are hard at work trying to locate the caller.
