Springfield Drug Arrest Leads To Recovery Of Runaway Juvenile
SPRINGFIELD, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – An attempted traffic stop in Springfield led to the arrest of a local man on multiple drug-related charges and the safe recovery of a runaway juvenile, according to the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office.
According to information released to Smokey Barn News from the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies attempted to stop a black Nissan sedan leaving the Speedway convenience store in Springfield on Thursday, October 22, for improper display of registration.

“Fantastic work by our patrol deputies, who took the initiative to follow through on an attempted traffic stop. Their efforts not only helped get dangerous drugs and a criminal off our streets, but also led to locating a runaway juvenile. Although our patrol deputies and detectives work in different divisions, this is a clear example of how teamwork at our agency is used to achieve positive outcomes,” stated Sheriff Michael Van Dyke.
The Sheriff’s Office has not released additional information about the juvenile or specified the types or quantities of narcotics seized.
The charges are allegations, and Dowlen is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
