Springfield Home Saved By Firefighters

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A Springfield home is still standing thanks to the efforts of Springfield Firefighters.

Around 11 am Friday morning the front of a home located on Woodland St near 21st Ave, ignited. MAP The Springfield Fire Department responded quickly and extinguished the flames containing the fire damage to just one percent of the home, a great save for firefighters.

Though the home is intact, it will need some minor repairs before it is livable again. The Robertson County Emergency Management Agency reached out to the American Red Cross who will assist the family.

Springfield Fire Department, Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, Robertson County EMS and Springfield Police all responded to the scene.

If more information becomes available we will bring it to you.

In a report released just yesterday, the Springfield Fire Department improved their Class 3 Public Protection Classification score. The Insurance Services Office (ISO) evaluated the fire department in November 2017 and released its report and rating last week. FULL STORY
