Springfield Rollover Crash Sends One to Hospital Saturday Morning
SPRINGFIELD, TENNESSEE (Smokey Barn News) — One person was transported to an area hospital following a violent rollover crash in Springfield Saturday morning.
The crash occurred on South Main Street near Watson Road, the first call coming into 911 at 8:54 AM. LOCATION OF CRASH The vehicle left the roadway and rolled multiple times before striking a tree, scattering debris over 30 yards.
Robertson County EMS transported the driver to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville with non-critical injuries. Although the driver was able to communicate, medical personnel will monitor for potential internal injuries. Witnesses reported the vehicle swerved just before the crash, narrowly missing an oncoming car, and reportedly sideswiped another vehicle before leaving the roadway.
The cause of the crash was not immediately available, Springfield Police are investigating. Main Street was closed briefly as police investigated and the vehicle was removed from the scene.
Springfield Police, Robertson County EMS, and the Springfield Fire Department all responded to the scene. Payne’s tow personnel were called in to recover the vehicle. If any new details emerge we will certainly bring it to you.
