Springfield Standoff Ends in Multiple Charges for Local Man

SPRINGFIELD, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – This is an update to a story Smokey Barn News brought you on Saturday night involving a standoff with the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) near downtown Springfield.

The standoff, captured on video occurred in Springfield on Saturday night around 10:30 PM. Citing an ongoing investigation, the THP is not releasing much information but here’s what we know. Following a brief chase, several police agencies including the THP and the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office had Stetson Bryce Wells-Gregory, 25, cornered outside the C&D Market located on Memorial Blvd. MAP

In the video (below) captured by Haley Day, at 10:30 PM, you can hear officers yell, “Drop the gun!” and in another video captured by Lucky Eye, the THP is seen taking Wells-Gregory into custody at 11:11 PM. No injuries were reported.

Wells-Gregory is facing numerous charges, including evading arrest, reckless driving, reckless endangerment, unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon, possession of methamphetamine, simple possession of Schedule II drugs, possession of prohibited weapons, unlawful drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm during a dangerous felony, and violation of community corrections. His court date is set for October 16, 2024.

Wells-Gregory is currently being held at the Robertson County Detention Facility under a $248,500.00 bond.

This is not Wells-Gregory first run-in with the law, he has been on the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office Most Wanted list for months.
