Springfield’s Citywide Junk Collection Set For April
SPRINGFIELD, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The City of Springfield will begin its first citywide junk collection of 2025 on Tuesday, April 1, running through Wednesday, April 30.
This service, available twice annually—once in April and again in October—is offered to residents within the city limits for the collection of larger items that cannot be disposed of with regular household trash, such as mattresses, furniture, and appliances. The junk collection is in addition to the city’s regular household trash and brush collection services.
Residents are asked to bag small, loose items. However, hazardous waste, tires, and materials from construction or home improvement projects will not be accepted. The service is not available for commercial properties, apartments, condominiums, vacant properties, or lots.
To ensure your items are collected, residents should place their unwanted items at the curb starting April 1. Items will be collected when crews are in the area, so it’s recommended to set items out early in the month, as collection times may vary.
