Surprise Farewell / Push-In Ceremony Honors Chief After 47 Years
ROBERTSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – On Saturday, the White House Community Volunteer Fire Department gathered for a day of reflection and tradition — welcoming a new fire engine, promoting members, honoring retiring Chief Joe Williams, and remembering fallen firefighters with the ringing of the bell.
Alongside the push-in ceremony for the new engine, the department recognized internal promotions and paid tribute to Chief Joe Williams, retiring after 47 years of service. The day also included a solemn bell ceremony — a tradition to honor all fallen firefighters, including those lost to suicide.
