Teen OK After Crashing Into Brick Wall on Hwy 25
CROSS PLAINS, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Emergency crews are currently on the scene of a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 25 and Brownstone Drive. LOCATION OF CRASH According to officials, a 16-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle, which left the roadway and struck a large brick wall.
Despite the severity of the impact, officials say the teen driver did not sustain any injuries. The sound of the crash reportedly startled a nearby resident, but no injuries have been reported in connection with the incident.
According to Cross Plains Fire Chief Tommy Jackson, when his team arrived, the driver was no longer at the scene. Fire crews later made contact with the driver just up the road, and emergency personnel were able to confirm that the individual was not injured, Jackson said.
Since the vehicle left the roadway, Highway 25 remains unaffected. However, recovery efforts are still underway, and motorists are advised to use caution in the area over the next hour as first responders and tow crews work to clear the scene.
Considering the damage to the vehicle, it is remarkable that the driver walked away unharmed, officials said.
