Teens Charged Following Alleged Kidnapping, Sexual Battery Of 12 Yr Old Girl
COOPERTOWN TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) –Two teens have been charged following an alleged kidnapping and Aggravated-Sexual-Battery of a 12-year-old Coopertown girl.
Robert Alan Nutter, 19, of Ashland City, was arrested and charged with Especially-Aggravated-Kidnapping, Aggravated-Sexual-Battery, Especially-Aggravated-Sexual-Exploitation-of-a-Minor, and Contributing-to-the-Delinquency-of-a-Minor.
His alleged accomplice, Robert Deshawn Trice, 18, also of Ashland City, was charged with Contributing to the Delinquency-of-a-Minor, surrounding incidents that occurred on March 31, 2019, involving a 12-year-old Coopertown female.
Police say the juvenile’s mother witnessed her daughter getting into a vehicle. She contacted law enforcement and attempted to follow the vehicle, but lost sight. The juvenile was later located, cleared by medical staff, and brought to Coopertown Police for questioning.
With the assistance of the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Department, Coopertown Police located Mr. Nutter on the morning of April 2nd at his father’s residence in Cheatham County. According to Coopertown Police, while taking Mr. Nutter into custody, Cheatham County Sheriff’s Department discovered a marijuana grow operation.
Later that evening the Coopertown Police Department and the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Department located Mr. Trice at his place of employment in Cheatham County and took him into custody. Mr. Trice was later released on a $1,500 bond. Mr. Nutter remains in custody at Robertson County Detention Center pending a $112,500 bond.
