TRAFFIC ALERT KINNEYS RD SPRINGFIELD CLOSED

Kinneys Road just outside of Springfield is currently closed due to a tree over the roadway. The down tree caused the traffic accident and the THP is currently investigating. Expect the road to remain closed for some time. Smokey Barn News has a reporter at the scene and will have a full report for you later this evening.

A SMOKEY WEATHER ALERT A more active day is in store for the area today and tonight with strong winds, rain, and a few thunderstorms.

Here is what we know:
What: Strong Winds & Thunderstorms
Strong Winds: Winds will increase throughout the day, peaking after sunset. Wind gusts of 40 to 45 mph will be possible, and a Wind Advisory is in effect for all counties.
Thunderstorms: A few thunderstorms may turn strong tonight and early Wednesday morning across northwest Middle Tennessee where a marginal risk is in place.
When: Wind Advisory is in effect from noon Tuesday until 6 am Wednesday. The main timing for strong thunderstorms will be between 3 am and 6 am on Wednesday.
Where: Strong winds are expected across all of Middle Tennessee. Strong thunderstorms are possible across northwest Middle Tennessee.

STILL MISSING
MISSING ENDANGERED CHILD ALERT
15-year-old Sebastian Wayne Drake Rogers has not been located. Cross-county agencies are participating in the search for Sebastian. If you live in the area be sure to check your security and doorbell cameras for any sign of Sebastian.

An Endangered Child Alert has been issued for 15-year-old Sebastian Wayne Drake Rogers on behalf of the Sumner Co. SO. He was seen yesterday near Stafford Court in Hendersonville wearing a black sweatshirt, black sweatpants & glasses.

Sebastian is 5’0”, 120 lbs., w/brown hair & brown eyes. Sebastian has a medical condition that may impair his ability to return safely w/o assistance.

The THP is now releasing additional details about last night’s fatal accident on I-65, where a pedestrian was struck by a tractor-trailer. Our updated report, which includes the identity of the pedestrian, is now available HERE.
